Delumination is a first-person adventure where you play as an agent trying to stop an eclipse. The twist is that you’re stuck in a three-day time loop, so you have to keep repeating the same days, learning smore each time until you can finally stop it.

The game takes place in a town called Elysium Town, where our goal was to make every area feel connected. We wanted players to loop back into earlier places, unlock new routes, and slowly open up the world, giving it a light metroidvania feel.

I designed and implemented a quest inside the cave area I built. The puzzle involves rotating a set of shapes in the correct order, with the solution hinted at on a note the player can find inside the cave. Completing the puzzle unlocks a hidden treasure room that contains an important item needed for progression.

Our game featured many NPC quest givers, and the level was divided into multiple sections, which could make it challenging and time-consuming for new players to understand where to go.

An AI Dog Companion
Who doesn’t love a pet dog? I helped ideate and create an AI companion that follows the player, and interacting with it triggers dialogue that tells the player their current objective, helping reduce confusion and speed up progression.
